Sales Representative


The Opportunity: We are seeking talented people to join our team of professionals. Our nationwide team consists of individuals who are leaders in insurance, financial, estate and business planning.

Description of Activities and Responsibilities: As a licensed agent, you will be responsible for scheduling appointments, meeting with clients, analyzing clients’ information, making product recommendations and providing ongoing service. Agents work in the personal and business markets. They can help clients meet their insurance, estate, retirement and benefit needs through the insurance and financial products they offer.

Requirements: We require highly motivated individuals who are willing to invest their time and energy into creating profitable and rewarding careers.

Training: At New York Life, we take your training seriously. We offer state of the art marketing support and extensive ongoing training through NYLIC University. Not only will you be trained through our NYLIC University program, but also through local Managers and full-time Trainers who are extremely proficient in teaching the knowledge and skills needed to get off to a fast start.

Recruiting Coordinator

We are looking for a motivated self starter who:

  • Can manage different personalities
  • Is personable
  • Keeps very organized
  • Is computer literate
  • Has a strong work ethic
  • Is able to multitask
  • Has a positive attitude and can adjust to change
  • Has a strong phone presence
  • Is coachable
  • Is originally from the area or has lived in the area for more than 7-10 years

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage recruiting systems for the Managing Partner
  • Find candidates for a financial sales position with our company
  • Create and analyze weekly tracking reports of candidates
  • Administer screening interview to candidates
  • Conduct all follow up with candidates for the Managing Partner, keeping candidates engaged in the process
  • Network with Agents
  • Maintain office recruiting materials
  • Attend and set up Career Fairs
  • Coordinate and set up Career Nights and other events
  • Pull resumes from Monster, CareerBuilder and other sites and cold call on candidates
  • Attend local chamber functions and become member of community based organizations and develop Centers of Influence
  • Assist in "on-boarding" process, licensing and contracting and set up timeline for candidate training
  • Maintain social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook and General Office website for the Managing Partner
  • Attend weekly meetings

Training: You will train alongside one of the most well-known Recruiters at New York Life while in our office. You will have the opportunity to learn from our entire Management team throughout your position and have access to meetings and events with top performing Managers and Agents in the area.

Compensation: Hourly plus Commissions or Bonus options. The rate of pay is determined by experience and is TBD at time of hire. Health & Dental are offered with the contract, as well as an investment/savings option, through NextSource.
